Mitsubishi Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) – FAT TYPE is a new aftermarket replacement designed for Mitsubishi vehicles equipped with 4G18 and 4G15 engines.

Also known as an Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), Idle Sensor, Idle Stepper Motor, Idle Speed Control Servo, or Throttle Body Idle Control Valve, this component helps regulate engine idle speed by controlling the amount of air entering the engine while the throttle is closed.

FAT TYPE vs. SLIM TYPE – Important

The 4G18 and 4G15 engines can use two physically different types of idle control sensors:

• FAT TYPE – Larger/thicker sensor body, with a small brown casing around the sensor.
• SLIM TYPE – Smaller sensor body.

The FAT TYPE and SLIM TYPE IACV have different physical shapes and are not interchangeable. Please carefully compare your existing sensor before ordering.

Common Symptoms of a Faulty IACV
